Home for an expanding living-learning community
For over 37 years RMC has provided a living-learning community for over 4,000 Macquarie University students. That’s all about to grow with your help. We will build a new 4-level building to house an additional 102 RMC members, including new conference facilities.

Not just beds: RMC is a University based learning and living community with a strong tutorial program and excellent academic results. College life enables its members to engage fully in the university experience and to develop academic, sporting, social and spiritual wellbeing in a supportive context. Such character development harmonises with University educational goals that go beyond class room learning.
Leadership: A dynamic multicultural living experience coupled with numerous leadership through service opportunities empowers RMC members (undergraduate, postgraduate, local and international) to become effective leaders in the ‘global village’. RMC growth would enable further enrichment of community living.
Upgrade: RMC is committed to significantly enhancing the quality and variety of accommodation. The new building meets contemporary standards, including disabled access and facilities, thus complementing the 1970’s original buildings. The new rooms have ensuite bathrooms and some will provide for self catering.
Beyond the College: Superior conference and seminar room facilities will also be available for visitors, the wider university, local community groups and for the expanding academic programs of the College. The expansion will assist the College’s long term financial sustainability and help meet a neighbourhood-wide shortage of quality student accommodation.
