Accommodation
At RMC there are many accommodation options for you to choose from. No matter which option you choose, you have access to all College central facilities (including library, games, music and computer rooms), academic tutoring, pastoral support and events! More importantly, RMC will always be your “next best place to home!”
Every person has their own private study bedroom equipped with a bed, desk, chair, high-speed broadband internet connection, storage cupboard, bookshelves, pin board, telephone with voicemail and a large window for natural light. Vacuuming and linen services are provided weekly. We also have a number of rooms designed with disabled access or for the hearing impaired.
Each floor also has a common lounge and kitchen/kitchenette, where people meet to chat with their neighbours, enjoy a cup of coffee, play games or study together – all of which adds to the great sense of community at RMC.
So how do you choose which accommodation option would suit you best? It comes down to just a couple of decisions.
Firstly, click on the underlined titles depending on whether you would like Fully Catered, Semi-Catered or Self-Catered.
- Fully Catered: You have three hot meals served in the Dining Room each day, seven days a week. Along with the convenience of not having to grocery shop and cook, you still have access to kitchens in case you feel the need for a snack or a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. If it’s your first semester at university, this option is particularly ideal as it can help you settle in, transition to a new environment and give you a great start to your tertiary years.
- Semi-Catered: Your evening meals, Monday to Friday, are served in the College Dining Room. You just take care of your breakfast, lunch and weekend meals in either a private or shared kitchen.
- Self-Catered: You have access to a shared or private kitchen to cook all of your meals. To give you the opportunity to share a meal with your RMC community, one evening meal per week in the Dining Room is included – that’s one night off cooking!
Fully Catered
The second decision is to choose between a shared bathroom or private ensuite:
| Shared Bathroom Ten rooms share a newly renovated, fully tiled bathroom that is cleaned daily. RMC’s shared bathrooms contain multiple shower/toilet facilities and males and females are allocated separate floors and bathrooms.Your Choice = ACD: Fully catered, Shared Bathroom/KitchenEven though you’re fully catered, you might like to cook every now and again, or prepare a hot beverage. So you also have access to a kitchenette on your floor, with sink, kettle and microwave. You can also use any of the common kitchens located in other areas of the College. Private Ensuite Rooms with a private ensuite are in our newest building and are cleaned weekly.Even though you’re fully catered, you might like to cook every now and again. Therefore, you can choose to share a kitchen or have a private kitchenette.Shared Kitchen Your Choice = S: Fully Catered, Private Ensuite/Shared KitchenPrivate Kitchenette Your Choice = N: Fully Catered, Private Ensuite/KitchenYou have your own personal kitchenette, with fridge, cook top and microwave in your room. You will also have access to a fully fitted kitchen with an oven and common room on your floor. Semi-Catered

Private Ensuite Rooms with a private ensuite are in our newest building and are cleaned weekly.As explained above, in Semi-Catered you provide your own breakfast, lunch and weekend meals. Self-Catered

Disabled Access Rooms
RMC has 4 self-catered rooms designed with disabled access features. There are also a number of self-catered and fully catered rooms which are designed for members with a hearing impairment – these rooms have flashing lights in case of evacuations. For any enquiries, please contact us.
