Each resident has their own bedroom, with a bed, cupboards, desk, chair, lamp, heater, fan, notice board, book shelves, telephone, and a large window. Residents can then choose from shared bathrooms or privates en-suites, shared kitchens or private kitchens. To read more, click here.

The RMC Student Association holds fun activities for residents almost every week of the academic calendar. These include a harbour cruise, College parties, a formal ball, day trips and more! Inter-college sporting events throughout the year include soccer, rugby, touch football, netball, basketball, and volleyball.

Yes. Each resident is provided with free, unlimited internet from a high-speed broadband internet connection in their room (subject to reasonable use). There are wi-fi &ldquohot spots&rdquo throughout the College. Each room also has a landline phone with free local calls.

Robert Menzies College strives to ensure that all members and guests are safe and secure during their stay. Residents have 24 hour secure access to the College. All gates and doors leading into the college and blocks are secured with key card access locks, as well as security cameras in all major areas and an after hours Duty Officer on-call.
University Security is also available to any member, for late night escorts around campus and emergency situations.

RMC provides for the diverse range of tastes amongst College members. There is always a vegetarian option, and we do our best to cater for any other dietary requirements, such as gluten allergies and lactose intolerance. The menus change from season to season and RMC&rsquos self-catered options also include 1 evening meal a week in the Dining Room.

Robert Menzies College is situated on the Macquarie University campus with most classes only a 5-minute walk away. The Macquarie Shopping Centre is also a 5 min walk from the College. There are plenty of buses at the Shopping Centre, and the underground train station is just across the road.
Packed lunches and late dinners are available if you can't make meal times.

RMC provides Academic Tutors (senior students) from a range of different subjects including Ancient History, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, French, Human Resource Management, Law, Linguistics, Modern History, Politics, Psychology, Spanish, and a wide range of EFS subjects such as Accounting, Actuarial Studies, Commerce, Economics and Finance. Academic Tutoring also includes two Academic English tutors, MUIC tutors, IELTS exam preparation tutorials and a seminar in Semesters 1 and 2 entitled Into the Workforce, to prepare RMC members for the challenge of transitioning into the workforce.

The College offers fully catered accommodation (21 meals per week), semi-catered (5 meals per week) and self-catered (1 meal per week) options, with a choice between rooms with en-suite bathrooms or shared bathrooms. All members are provided with free local landline calls, free internet and weekly vacuuming and linen services. We also offer a range of scholarships.

If you have your own car, you can apply for a parking permit and park at our on-site student parking free of charge. However, we have a very limited number of parking spaces. Alternatively, residents can apply for a Macquarie University parking permit and RMC will reimburse the annual parking permit cost.

Yes. Robert Menzies College has four rooms designed with disabled access features. There are also a number of self-catered and fully catered rooms which are designed for those with a hearing impairment &ndash these rooms have flashing lights in case of evacuations. Our College is a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment which means no smoking and drinking on our premises. This includes the Common Areas, Bedrooms, Kitchens, Study Rooms, TV Rooms, Music Room, Courtyard and all College grounds.
