Robert Menzies College has a rich history as a provider of student accommodation. Generations of students have enjoyed a safe caring environment that supports them in the studies and helps them to establish a firm foundation for their lives. It is a great place to make friends, in many cases friends for life. Students come from various locations across Australia and around the world. Its vibrant social, cultural and recreational life result in a caring community that you can call home.

The college is named after Sir Robert Menzies, prime minister of Australia in the post-war years. In responding to the Murray report in 1957, Menzies famously declared:

It is not yet adequately understood that a university education is not, and certainly should not be, the prerequisite of a privileged few... We must, on a broad basis, become a more and more educated democracy if we are to raise our spiritual, intellectual and material living standards.

This enthusiasm for holistic education, open to all, lies at the heart of Robert Menzies College. A university education is a great privilege and an important investment in your future. We are committed to helping you grow in every sense as you embark on this new stage of learning. There is great academic support with both study groups and individual tuition from senior students who have excelled in the same courses that you are doing. You will establish encouraging and supportive relationships which will help you think about how to live compassionately and grow spiritually. Ultimately, Robert Menzies College is a place which will help you prepare well for your chosen vocation.

All students at Robert Menzies College have their own private bedroom in a safe and secure environment. There are common rooms on each floor and around college which allow you to meet and chat with your friends. Some of our bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and others have kitchenettes, if you would like those options.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily in our college dining room. There are a variety of catering options to choose from, ranging from full-catering to self-catering in one of the shared kitchens. The various room and catering plans provide options to suite your preference and budget.

Robert Menzies College is a Residential Anglican College with a worshipping congregation on site, Trinity Chapel Macquarie. We have six on-site families and a team of residential advisors who will support and guide you during your stay.

We are very glad to be an affiliated college of Macquarie University and contribute to the vision to develop mature leaders who will provide exceptional leadership in their chosen vocations.
