Academic Achievement
At Robert Menzies College we actively support the learning process, providing residents with an environment conducive to study, encouraging academic achievement and providing study support. Residential growth is headed by our Dean of Academics, supported by a team of student leaders that include Residential Advisors and Academic Tutors.
2025 Results
We are so incredibly proud of the success of our residents and reinforce that academic achievement is grounded in individual effort and the collaborative support of all those who guide us.
In 2025, we’re proud to share that:
- More than two thirds of our residents have a WAM over 65
- A tenth of our residents have a WAM over 85!
Free Academic Tutoring
Peer-to-peer tutoring program is one of our offerings that all residents have free access to! If you need support, you can reach out to one of our friendly residential tutors. They’ve done the course, know the content, and received great marks (to be a tutor you will need to have a Distinction or higher in the course).
Tutors are provide assistance in
- Study skills
- Seminars
- Time management
- Different types of essay writing.
We have tutors for all four faculties of Macquarie University: Business School, Arts and Law, Science and Engineering, and Medicine, Health and Human Sciences.
Study Spaces
To support students, there are study rooms available throughout the college. There are also quiet study spaces and shared study spaces. Academic Residential Advisors plan special study lounges during intense weeks of study which have a constant supply of donuts, lollies, and hot chocolate!
