Chaplaincy
University is a time when big stuff happens. You will have experiences you never dreamed of and you’ll learn things that enable you to engage with people and society in new ways. It’s also a time when you can figure out what you believe about the ultimate things in life: God, faith, truth, and what makes life precious and meaningful.
The College employs a full time Chaplain that seeks to care for the spiritual wellbeing of all residents. RMC isn’t here to push religion on you. But we think that it’s worth taking time as an adult to consider who Jesus is, and why he has had such a significant influence on the history of the world.
College is a great place to do this. There are courses and events throughout the year where you can come and consider all of these fascinating and important questions. It’s a non-judgmental space where you can ask any question you like or just sit back and listen.
The Bridge Church Macquarie
Sundays at 9am, 10:45am, and 5:30pm.
The Bridge Church meets each Sunday in the Chapel next to the RMC carpark. A number of residents attend this church and everyone is welcome, no matter your background or belief. At the beginning of each semester, Bridge Church hosts a special Welcome Service for all interested residents.
Other churches
There are many around the Macquarie Park area you can check out. Chat with our Chaplain Lily Strachan or your Residential Advisor if you would like more information.
Investigating Faith
Tuesday nights we run Investigating Faith courses, where you can explore ideas about faith, spirituality and meaning. All opinions and questions are welcomed – or just sit back and observe.
Crossroads
Every Thursday night during semester, the Crossroads group hangs out with Bible study, prayer and a tasty supper. Everyone is welcome.
